Established in 1937, the Lodge of Whispering Pines is a eco-friendly, off grid Resort located North of Ely on Big Lake, a DNR managed Walleye fishery where families and friends have been gathering for decades. Whether you come to enjoy the beautiful sandy beach, log cabins, great fishing or planning on day trips into the BWCA, we have it covered.
We are perfectly located for trips into the BWCA and are just a few miles from the Stuart, Moose/Portage River, Big Lake, Little Indian Sioux and Angleworm/South Hegman. As new owners we will continue to offer partial outfitting to the public and assist guests with day trip planning into the wilderness that surrounds our beautiful lodge.
Our unique Historic Log Lodge is a favorite rental for large groups and the amenities are all there for your trip. As one of Minnesota’s most remote lodges, our guests enjoy a link with nature unequaled in other parts of the state. Top fishing and premiere log cabins are a mainstay and our cozy 6 spot campground is just right for tents and smaller rv camping. DOCK HAND AND CANOE OUTFITTING HELP WANTED
We are Ely’s most remote off grid solar powered Resort and Outfitter on the Echo Trail.
We supply housing in our designated staff area with good quality RV’s during employment.
We offer training to learn the skills and attitude to operate during this adventure basedjob. Experience counts but don’t hesitate to call and discuss this exciting position.
We can offer employment starting anytime during the summer with dates open from May to October.
This is an excellent and fun position that is perfect summer work and experience that you only get in the Northwoods.
Our location on Big Lake, just 30 minutes up the Echo Trail from Ely gives workers the chance to go fishing and canoeing during the entire. Staff is allowed to use equipment.
